My Dear Sisters,

Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

I am encouraged and looking forward to the mighty things the Lord is going to do through You. We are living in the last days and it is imperative that we as women of God do away with the excuses and say ‘Yes’ to the will of God in our lives. There are men and women, boys and girls who need to hear and see the love of Jesus Christ. Did you notice I said see the love of Jesus Christ? Our Superintendent teaches us that Love is a Verb. (1 John 3:18) We must show love to one another through our actions and deeds. We must go out and visit the sick, feed the hungry, and cloth the naked. We must extend a hand to people who are hurting.

There are many lessons in the Bible that shows us how to walk or conduct ourselves as Jesus did. First our mind must be taken off of “me and my situation”. If you think your situation is bad, take some time to listen to someone else. Someone else is worse off than you. Let’s change our agenda. Let’s think of how we can help someone else…Daily. Pray that the Lord allow you to bless someone with a smile, an encouraging word or grace when they just don’t get ‘it’ right.

As we reach out to others, we will find that the Lord will work in our situations and things will turn out all right. If you find that you have a void in your life. For example, you didn’t have a loving relationship with your mother. The way to move toward healing is to give away what you did not get growing up. As you fill the need for someone else, the Lord will heal the void that you have.

There is much work to be done. Not sure where to start? Reach out to any leader within the District. We can let you know of ways to volunteer and impact the lives of others.

Until we meet again, may God continue to shine upon you and yours is my prayer.

Serving the Lord with gladness,
Lesly D. Lindsey
